English: The Coat of Arms of the State of New South Wales
中文：圖騰是新南威爾斯州的州徽，是英國國王愛德華七世於1906年10月11日御賜。
1907年2月22日在新南威爾士州政府的皇家權證的出版公報通告周知。
2003年，新南威爾士州議會通過了州徽法案，
2004年新南威爾士州的州徽，開始正式在州法條令的管轄之下，取代在過去所有由皇冠所代表的官方標誌。
新南威爾斯州的州徽中的每一個圖案，都極具當地文化背景，和英國君主的意義在其中。

盾牌上的太陽，表示新南威爾斯州，是每天都在冉冉升起的南太平洋日光中，有新希望也有朝氣的陽光州。
盾牌太陽下，以藍白雙色畫出的座底線和盾牌上的底層，是因為：各種深淺藍色和白色的搭配在一起，是新南威爾斯州在國際和國內在參與體育界所有活動時，群體穿著還有旗幟的官方代表的顏色。
盾牌上的白十字和紅十字，分別代表著英國皇家海軍的忠勇和聖喬治紅十字的榮耀之意。
紅十字中4顆的八角型星，是象徵；新南威爾斯州自海事起源開始，海員全都得依靠南十字星在海中導航，尤其是英國和澳洲新南威爾斯州海軍部隊，在保護國家方面的任務中，起了很大的作用。
紅十字中間的獅子，是在聖經中極其有名的象徵；勇猛、威武、和平的(dexter德克斯)獅王。(德克斯dexter)獅王的圖騰，在西方文化中較常見，(dexter德克斯)獅王的形象，有很多不同的姿態，各有其不同的代表含意。
盾牌中對角的圖騰，分別是；興盛繁榮起新南威爾斯州美利奴羊的羊毛產業，還有牧區產業中牧草的標誌。
盾牌兩邊的(dexter德克斯)獅王和金色袋鼠的形象：是代表支持、多元還有閃耀創新的理想。

在最下方的基礎銘文是；新興起的，你是如何地閃耀明亮。
