Why[veisau | edit source]

My purpose in joining the Wikipedia Community was to create and develop articles regarding the title of the Turaga na Rasau and its Title Holders and their varied histories along with details on Lomaloma Tikina and its Villages and Communities.

Further Comments[veisau | edit source]

I will contribute further articles related to Lomaloma Tikina once I get my current articles formatted correctly. Also from time to time I will contribute and build on current articles on Fiji.

Remember in regard to Fijis history there is limited documents on Fiji before the 1800's after that there is some documentation from explorers and missionaries from various continents up to cession in 1874 and after that whatever the British administration documented. old history was passed on by word of mouth from the elders to the children and so on and so forth and also preserved in chants and dances, so with that in mind I embark on this task, and would welcome constructive critcism and feedback in helping me get this contribution right.

Why I like contributing on Wikipedia[veisau | edit source]

It has improved my appreciation of knowledge as Wikipedia has provided me with basic understanding of the process involved and taught me how to better write and record information making it reliable, accurate, verifiable and balanced which in turn has helped me with my writing ventures and recording family history better. So in short I have found Wikipedia a great place to learn and as learning is a life long journey I hope to spend some of that journey contributing here on Wikipedia as I learn and grow.

" It is not the critic who counts nor he who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by Dust, sweat and blood, who knows great devotion, enthusiasm and triumph of achievement and Who at worst if he fails, does so while daring greatly, so his place shall never be amongst those odd and timid souls who neither know victory or defeat, For those who have had to fight for it life truly has a flavour the protected shall never know". The law isn't justice. It's a very imperfect mechanism. If you press exactly the right buttons and are also lucky, justice may show up in the answer. A mechanism is all the law was ever intended to be. Raymond Chandler (1888-1959) U.S. writer of detective fiction.

Quote:

The law is just a mechanism and an imperfect one at that, but it is a very necessary mechanism to allow for a better society, it requires constant tinkering with the goal of fairness, justice and respect for each individual Maikeli P.J.N Benefield (1974 AD) Fiji.

There is one kind of robber whom the law does not strike at, and who steals what is most precious to men: time. Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)

law is built on life and that is why sometimes it is a bit illogical because life is not logical. Law needs all the other units in the society to create a fairer and just society and not just a society of rules and regulations. Michael Desmond Benefield (1937 AD) Fiji.

Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments. Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds, Or bends with the remover to remove: O no! it is an ever-fixed mark That looks on tempests and is never shaken; It is the star to every wandering bark, Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken. Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks Within his bending sickle's compass come: Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, But bears it out even to the edge of doom.If this be error and upon me proved, I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

William Shakespeare (baptised April 26, 1564 – died April 23, 1616)
